Do the right thing!
We all love Digg - it’s chock full of random, irreverent titbits that people all over the world consider interesting. It’s like Reuters’ Oddly Enough news service, but with the community as editors. But the lure of Digg ends there - it’s mere froth, fun and irrelevance.
That’s why I’m starting to like dotherightthing.com :) Anyone can submit a news story relating to a company, and everyone rates how good (or bad) the company is doing. The social performance ratings add up over time, producing an interesting temperature reading of the community’s opinions and expectations of each company. For example, you can take a look at the stories about Walmart and see how users respond.
dotherightthing.com was only formally launched last week, so I’m looking forward to an enthusiastic response and sufficient users to really make this work.
